TunnelFlux on TunnelFLux.com
An online chronicle documenting and sometimes analyzing underground and alternative movements and lifestyles. Street dancers, bikers, car clubs, art movements, alternative lifestyles -- non-traditional, subordinated peoples who live outside of conventional boundaries yearning for happiness in a society where freedom is guaranteed and in operation through the cultural theory of pluralism.
TunnelFlux listens to their voices and hears how they solve problems that everyone has but they do not ignore them, they face them to experience life to its fullest.
Documenting alternative lifestyles and subcultures. Analyzing them, not as form of pathology coming from a police state or academic conservatism, but from an empathetic yearning to understand how MEANING is sought from others, sometimes to compare with our own paths towards that same MEANING.
Re-examining the definition of "normal" in US society and culture--mass media, defined from those in power, dominant ethnic groups, consumerism, etc.
TunnelFlux tells stories about the performance, artistic and cultural expressions of people who live for a purpose -- a movement -- hidden from mainstream society -- in the underground.
